Many Brazilians have also settled in the Portuguese Ironbound neighborhood in Newark, and an increasing number, primarily people from the town of Poços de Caldas in Minas Gerias, are now in Mount Vernon in Westchester, where as much as one-tenth of the population is Brazilian, according to recent estimates.
